Book reviewe for “A fire for Christmas” by, William. R. Hincy

 Here's the blurb:

It’s Christmas 2020—be careful what you wish for! After meeting at a pre-pandemic writers conference, struggling sci-fi novelist Jeffrey Dahl attempts to rekindle a romance with renowned holiday erotica author Lourdes D.P. Ivy. But stay-at-home orders, social distancing, and communication gaffes lead to a series of old-fashioned letters as the would-be lovers exchange Christmas stories.

From award-winning author William R. Hincy, A Fire for Christmas takes a satirical blowtorch to our most cherished holiday stories and traditions, then invites the reader to make snow angels in the ashes.

Will Jeff and Lourdes catch fire? In 2020, nothing is certain.

~My review ~

When I first began to read and got through the beginning, something quite interesting happened. It might be unconventional to like a book just after the first sentence, but I did!!! I absolutely knew it was a book to hold on to close, as soon as I started.

Just when you are at the peak of excitement and joy, you get to switch to a new story. Like all the different ingredients of a red velvet cake, coming together for deliciousness.

It's very nice to read the different stories from different perspectives. Almost as if you get to peep through their minds at different moments. Towards the great cause of understanding their stories. I particularly loved the Christmas and festive theme that was told differently.

Plus, the writing technique is so professional and very very very eye-catching. Then there's humor, that has you chuckling to yourself.

All in all, a remarkable book. William. R. Hincy did a very commendable job with this book.
